Marcelo Cohen

Marcelo Cohen (Buenos Aires, 1951) is a writer, translator and critic. He has published books of short-stories, essays and novels. He is considered one of the most prestigious translators in Spanish and has translated Hawthorne, Shakespeare, Munro, Pessoa, Gene Wolfe, and Coetzee among many others. Along with Graciela Speranza he runs the digital magazine Otra Parte Semanal. In 2001, with the short-stories of Los acuáticos, he created Delta Panorámico, an universe of river islands where his fictions take place since then, with its own and changing geography and sociopolitical configuration, including its own language, the deltingo.
