If you are interested in submitting your work for our consideration, the first step is to send us a query letter. Please do not send a full manuscript unless we have requested you to do so. The query letter should include:
► A synopsis of your work (no more than 1-2 pages)
► Information about yourself (your writing career, previously published work, etc.)
► Your contact information
You can feel free to submit your material in either English or Spanish, what’s important is that you make sure that what you send us is well-written, clear and concise. Once your query letter is ready, send this via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and if we are interested, you can expect to receive an answer within a couple of weeks. In order to save time and trees, we only accept email queries, so please refrain from sending anything in the mail.
When looking for an agent, what’s most important is finding someone who truly connects with your work, so it might be a good idea for you to check out our client list in order to familiarize yourself with our interests. Please note that Indent represents mostly Latino and Latin American authors and while this is our primary focus, we will not rule out authors of works that do not fall into this group. The key is that the the work is powerful and well-written.
Please note that we receive a great deal of submissions therefore we only respond to queries we are interested in taking a look at. If we want to consider your work, you will receive a request to see a proposal within 1-2 weeks.
