Franco Félix

Franco Félix studied Hispanic Literature and has a master's degree in Humanities. He has published work in magazines like Vice, La Tempestad, Tierra Adentro, Luvina, Pez Banana, and Diez4, among others. He received the Edmundo Valadés scholarship supporting the Publication of Independent Magazines in 2009 for the magazine Shandy, the Young Creators Novel scholarship (2011-12) for Teoría del Asperger, and the 2014 Mexico-Argentina Artists' Residency for La maldición de Naigu. He won the 2014 Libro Sonorense Prize for Chronicle with Kafka en traje de baño, the 10th Premio Nacional Rostros de la Discriminación Conapred in 2014 for "El origen del autismo," and the 2015 Binational Border of Words Novel Prize for Los gatos de Schrödinger. He was awarded the Creadores con Trayectoria scholarship by the Instituto Sonorense de Cultura and the PECDA-FECAS for his novel Todos me llaman pelmazo. He has published the books Kafka en traje de baño (Nitro/Press, 2015), Los gatos de Schrödinger (Tierra Adentro, 2015), Mil monos muertos (Buap, 2017), and Maten a Darwin (Caballo de Troya, 2018). He was a member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte (2017-2020) and currently is obtaining a PhD in Humanities from Universidad de Sonora.
