Julieta Venegas grew up in Tijuana, Mexico. She is a musician, singer and songwriter. She was a member of the band Tijuana No! And has built an extensive solo career. She has released around 10 albums for which she has received numerous awards. She has also composed music for and participated in various theater productions and artistic collaborations. She currently lives in Mexico City. Norteña: Memorias del comienzo is her first book
