Juliana Javierre
Juliana Javierre (Pereira, 1993) is the author of the illustrated children's book Un hogar en todas partes (Arte Público Press). Her short stories have appeared in anthologies including Puñalada trapera II, Contar la vida como contar los pasos, Mujeres que cuentan, Cuentos y relatos de la literatura colombiana, La vorágine dormida, and 2066. Among other distinctions, she has received the Crossing Latinidades Mellon Fellowship, the Inprint GBC International Student Fellowship, and the HAA Support for Artists and Creative Individuals Grant Award. She is currently in the fourth year of the Creative Writing PhD program at the University of Houston, where she is developing a multidisciplinary project on gender-based violence and writing a novel about her grandmother.
