Edited by Javier Lafuente & Eliezer Budasoff: An X-ray of the cracks that have opened in Latin American territories in recent years.

This book, which was originally conceived as a series of chronicles that could narrate the ways that new generations in Latin America were taking to the streets to try to transform their countries, started becoming an X-ray of the state of the region because of its premise’s own inertia. We asked eight journalists and authors to report on and write about the cracks that have opened in their countries in recent years. And inside those cracks—most of which are still open—there wasn't a fully conscious and organized search for transformation, but rather the bowels of their societies and their open wounds. This is more than an idea: the moments and breaking points that make up these texts are filled with firsts, infections, and situations that pushed others to change their perspectives and take action when it came to their shared reality.

Including texts by Elena Reina, Estefanía Pozzo, Juan Cárdenas, Ana Teresa Toro, Carlos Manuel Álvarez, Joseph Zárate, Wilfredo Miranda, and Yasna Mussa.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Latin America had more of this: more rage in light of what it has to endure, more texts capable of telling it in this beautiful and profound manner, more journalists like the ones featured in this book.
