Woody Allen: incómodo en el mundo
Ricardo Silva Romero

BIOGRAPHY | 2004 | 124 pages

Nobody can stop Woody Allen when it comes to inventing stories on his old typewriter, delivering witty remarks or the speed with which he films his bittersweet comedies. Nothing, not even the scandals that surround his personal life, has managed to break his discipline. His own theory is that he needs to work in order to keep himself from thinking too much and getting through the day without falling into desperation. The truth is, he has felt uncomfortable in the world ever since he started going to school. And ever since he was a child, he has resorted to hiding in his fictional work. Ever since he was 17 years old, he has been locked up in his room writing jokes. He was an amateur magician, screenplay writer, stand-up comedian before becoming one of the most important directors in the history of film. According to his parents, he should have taken a more serious job. Maybe as a pharmacist.
