GRAPHIC NOVEL | 2007 | 120 pages
Simon feels like everything that happens to him is a parenthesis. He just got divorced, he stole from his father’s company, he said he’d be back soon, but he didn’t. Now he’s driving around the south of the United States in a rented car. While he is on the road he meets Adriana a “Made in the USA” Bolivian girl who shares the sense of loss and emptiness that has taken over his life.
Fuguet’s visual sensibility is perfectly captured in this graphic novel, illustrated by Guillermo Martínez, that powerfully evokes the spirit of his characters and the places they inhabit.
