Parece que va a llover
Ricardo Silva Romero
NOVEL | 2005 | 249 pages
Juana Villegas, a 29-year old woman who has lost her mother, her job and her money, makes her way to the clinic where she is going to terminate her first pregnancy: she resists the idea of becoming the mother of one of her future husband’s children, she doesn’t want to have to explain it to her father or her younger brother, she refuses to let the people who see her as an example see her make the same stereotypical mistake of an adolescent girl. It all happens on that same day: In a moment, in a few minutes she is about to get an abortion but, since the world has no reason to stop, the facts, the questions, the conjectures pile up in her mind. It would have to start raining for things to be even worse than they already are, but in the end it never does.
