In 2015 he left his life in Santiago and he returned to his hometown where he worked on his first book, the graphic memoir Gay Gigante, that later won him the Colibrí Medal Award (abby Chile) for Best Graphic Novel of 2016. He currently works by the sea, currently touching up the last details of his first children's book, The Book of Sadness, and working on the follow up to Gay Gigante: the illustrated novel Planetarium.
